ASEAN Science Speaks is a program designed to enable easier access to basic science communication skills for researchers across the ASEAN region.
It is a scalable and repeatable interactive learning program focused on skills for delivering engaging, audience-aware communication.
Positive impacts of science-focused policy can be observed in developed countries. For example, in public well-being, economic growth, development, innovation and other areas.
Science Communication is one contributor to raising public awareness and interest in science, adopting of innovations, increasing competitiveness, and mitigating risks.
However, historical, economic, and geopolitical idiosyncrasies of some economies result in difficult accessibility to science communication skills—many ASEAN member states included.
